Research and Evaluation in Probation
West Yorkshire Research
West Yorkshire is renowned for its research activity. We recently became the first and only Probation Trust research department to be accepted as an approved Social Research Provider for the Home Office.
We use established research practice to assess and evaluate the effectiveness of the work we do with offenders.
Our research team is based at Head Office in Wakefield.

Research and evaluation is conducted in collaboration with Probation practitioners and senior managers to support policy and practice development. The Research Team conducts research internally for West Yorkshire Probation Trust as well as funded projects commissioned by other organisations.
